PREDATOR 5: Amber Midthunder

Amber Midthunder has been cast in the forthcoming Predator picture from 20th Century Studios, which is now filming in Calgary, Alberta. According to sources, she will play the lead in the film.

Amber Midthunder is a rising Native American actress best recognized for her portrayal as Kerry Loudermilk in Marvel and FX’s Legion. Rosa Ortecho, a series regular on The CW’s Roswell, New Mexico, is her current role. She’s no stranger to science fiction since the show revolves around humans who assist unique aliens in hiding in a tiny rural community.

Midthunder is set to act with Liam Neeson, Holt McCallany, and Laurence Fishburne in Jonathan Heinsleigh’s The Ice Road. An ice driver prepares an improbable rescue attempt over a frozen ocean to save the trapped workers’ lives when a remote diamond mine collapses in Canada’s far north. On June 25, Netflix will release The Ice Road.

The script is being written by Patrick Aison. He’s worked as a co-executive producer on USA’s Treadstone, a supervising producer/writer on Amazon’s Jack Ryan, and a consultant on Legion, all of which tie into Midthunder’s role.

Under the Davis Entertainment name, John Davis will produce the picture. Chronicle, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., The Predator, Shaft, and Dolemite Is My Name is among his past credits. For Disney, he just produced Dwayne Johnson’s Jungle Cruise.
