The first trailer for Prisoners of the Ghostland, the new post-apocalyptic action-adventure film starring Nicolas Cage as Hero, a bank robber who is released from prison (in a place literally called Samurai Town) in order to assist in the search for a warlord’s missing granddaughter, has been released by RLJE Films. The clip follows a brief teaser that was published yesterday to create anticipation, and it appears that the wait was well worth it. Synopsis – A vicious bank robber (Nicolas Cage) gets released from prison in the perilous frontier city of Samurai Town by a rich warlord. The Governor (Bill Moseley), who has lost contact with his adoptive granddaughter Bernice (Sofia Boutella). In exchange for rescuing the fugitive, the Governor gives the prisoner his freedom. The bandit sets out on a mission to discover the young woman—and his own road to redemption—clad in a leather outfit that will self-destruct in five days.
