Roadshow Films CEO Joel Pearlman said that “Better Man is shaping up to become a major theatrical event and we couldn’t be more excited that it will shoot in Melbourne, which is also the hometown of director Michael Gracey. We are beyond excited to be distributing Better Man in Australia and New Zealand”.

Gracey added: “To tell Robbie Williams’ beautiful, distinct story, back home, in my own city, is a dream come true. There is a creative energy that burns across the Melbourne film industry, and I know this movie will thrive here.”

Michael, Oliver Cole, and Simon Gleeson co-wrote the film’s script, which he stated came about after hours of discussions with the ‘Rock DJ’ hitmaker and his goal to convey the story of an “everyman.”
