Rooney Mara is set to star as Audrey Hepburn in an upcoming biopic directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Luca Guadagnino. The big-budget project will be developed at Apple Studios, another coup for the tech giant’s fledgling film studio. Michael Mitnick is writing the film. The synopsis for the biopic is not yet revealed.
Audrey Hepburn was a Belgian-born British actress. She is best known for her roles in films such as Roman Holiday (1953), Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961), and My Fair Lady (1964). Hepburn devoted the final years of her life to humanitarian work. In 1992 she received the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Audrey Hepburn has married twice but has been in several relationships. Audrey’s first marriage was on 25 September 1954, to Mel Ferrer, an American actor, director, and producer of stage, film, and television. Audrey’s second marriage was with Andrea Dotti, an Italian psychiatrist in 1969 but divorced in 1982. she died at the age of 63.
Rooney Mara has been nominated for an Academy Award twice, for 2011’s “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” and 2015’s “Carol.” Her recent film was Guillermo del Toro’s “Nightmare Alley” cast alongside Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett, Toni Collette, and Willem Dafoe.
