Sasha Calle‘s Supergirl will completely replace Henry Cavill’s Superman. Calle’s Supergirl will introduce in DC’s upcoming film The Flash. Screen geek contented that the newcomer Supergirl actress Sasha Calle is playing the Kara Danvers version of the character and will replace Superman actor Henry Cavill as the DCEU’s last survivor of Krypton. In the new alternative timeline, the Kryptonian villain Zod kills Cavill’s Superman as a kid.
Sasha Calle was chosen from more than 425 actresses who auditioned for the role, The Flash director Andy Muschietti said “I saw more than four hundred auditions. The talent pool was truly amazing and it was very hard to make a decision, but we finally found an actress who was destined to play this role,” said Muschietti, who has a keen eye for discovering talent, in particular all the young actors from the first It movie.
Saying Good-Bye to Cavill is the hardest part for fans. Cavill was chosen as the best version of Superman to date. along with Cavill, Ben Affleck also will leave after ‘The Flash’. Michael Keaton’s Batman will replace Affleck in the upcoming DC films.
