Scoob: Animated Movie Sequel In Development

Scoob: Animated Movie Sequel

Last May, Scoob! was launched in the middle of the COVID-19 epidemic. Warner Bros. tried something new by releasing it in cinemas (at least the ones that were still open) at the same time that it was released on digital platforms, and it began rolling out globally later that summer.

As a result, the film’s $26.3 million box office gross didn’t reflect its quality, and it never had the chance to create the kind of impression Scooby-Doo and the rest of the Mystery Inc. crew normally do. Regardless, the studio must be satisfied with the film’s performance on both digital and traditional platforms, as director Tony Cervone has announced that a sequel is in the works.

The filmmaker revealed that earlier today, “Actually, we’re kicking the tires on a follow-up to Scoob!” “It hasn’t been revealed yet, but it’s something we’re all looking forward to. The whole creative crew behind the original film is still around and working on a new project. It was a lot of fun to develop the Hanna-Barbera Cinematic Universe, and it’s much more fun to revisit it.”

This is fantastic news for Scooby-Doo fans, as it appears that the “Hanna-Barbera Cinematic Universe” will now continue to grow, with Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Velma, and Daphne in the forefront.
