So there will no Winter Soldier (Bucky Barnes) in the upcoming Anthony Mackie’s Captain America 4. It is confirmed that at the Marvel series ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘ Mackie’s Sam Wilson will be MCU’s new Captain America. Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes’s return is not yet confirmed.
Speaking to Extra, Sebastian Stan told that he would be excited at the prospect of coming back for Captain America 4. When asked if he would be making a return, Stan said he really didn’t know but jokingly hopes “Anthony Mackie doesn’t have any say in it” as he feels Mackie would make sure Stan doesn’t join the cast. “I don’t know, I really don’t know [if Bucky will return]. I really hope Anthony Mackie doesn’t have any say in it. Because if he has any say in it, I’m not in ‘Captain America 4.’”
