Selena Gomez already has a cosmetics empire under her belt, and she’s on her way to becoming a fashion tycoon as well. The 28-year-old singer collaborated on a swimsuit capsule collection for La’Mariette with her BFF and former manager Theresa Mingus and business partner Morgan Brutocao, including a psychedelic tie-dye design suitable for the summer.
In a statement, Gomez said of the process, “It was extremely exciting for us to play around with making swimsuits because Theresa, Morgan, and I love being outside so much.”

“After looking at samples, I decided that purple was my favorite color. I wanted to avoid using colors that I’m used to, such as red and white,” she said. “Purple felt unusual to me, so we added flashes of color like green and neons here and there; it truly becomes your own suit whatever you wear it,” says the designer.

The collection, which will go on sale at 9 a.m. PT on July 3 on lamariette.com, includes six new designs in the “Aura” print: two tops, two bottoms, a one-piece, and a sarong that can also be knotted as a top. Sizes XS-XXL will be offered, with prices ranging from $49 to $119.

This isn’t the first time Gomez has collaborated with the newly reopened La’Mariette company on a swimming suit. Mingus debuted her Krahs bikini brand in 2019, enlisting Gomez to create a popular version that concealed her kidney transplant scars.

Gomez helped kick off the rebranding a year later, fully displaying her scar in a blue zipped suit.
