The excitement for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is high, especially since this is the MCU’s first foray into the martial arts genre. Destin Daniel Critton will helm the Upcoming Phase 4 film, which will star Kim’s Convenience star Simu Liu with a stellar Asian ensemble that includes Awkwafina, Fala Chen, and Tony Leung.
Shang-Chi will focus on Liu’s Marvel hero’s genesis tale, pitting him against Leung’s Wenwu, a.k.a. the true Mandarin of the MCU. Since the first trailer revealed that Shang-Chi was taught Mandarin as a youngster, the film will also be a family affair. Watch the glimpse of the trailer below
The Ten Rings are supposed to act as the film’s MacGuffin, and it appears that this formidable weapon will play a key role in the enigmatic plot of Shang-Chi, which will hit theatres on September 3, 2021. In a new trailer, a new look at the Ten Rings in action has been presented.
Marvel Studios has published a new teaser for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, teasing a new video that will air on Thursday night during NBA Countdown.
The 15-second trailer featured fresh clips from the film, including Tony Leung’s Mandarin wielding the Ten Rings and Simu Liu’s eponymous hero sparring with Razorfist.
To put things in perspective, NBA Countdown begins at 8 p.m. ET, which means the trailer will most likely air just before Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals between the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Clippers, which begins at 9 p.m. ET.
