The VFX team of Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings revealed why Bruce Banner appeared in the human form in the post-credits scene. Destin Cretton wants Ruffalo’s original face to appear in the film. In Avengers: Infinity War, Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner was seen in the Hulk form and the film doesn’t give any explanation about how he turned himself into hulk form.

According to the interview with the Russo brothers, Hulk was not scared of Thanos. Hulk didn’t come up because he didn’t want to help Banner and they wanted to explore Banner as a hero more. The fight with Thanos makes hulk guilty and hulk thinks that Bruce was weak because of him. After 5 years of the snap-in Avengers: Endgame, we see the Smart Hulk version of the green-rage monster but with Banner’s consciousness. While appearing in Shang-Chi post-credits scene, Bruce transformed into a human form.

in an interview with Variety, The VFX team head Walker said:
“I just sat down two compositors and two effects artists, and just said, ‘Come up with something and let your imagination go wild.’ Within four days they came up with the entire sequence,” says Walker. Walker and his team were called late in the day to deliver the sequence that features Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) and Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) in holographic form with Benedict Wong.
Mark Ruffalo’s Banner will appear in the Disney+ series, She-Hulk.
