Sung Kang Will Be Cating The Fifth Brother

Lucasfilm revealed the cast of Obi-Wan Kenobi a few months ago. Ewan McGregor’s return as the lone Jedi was confirmed once more. In addition, Hayden Christensen will reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker in flashbacks, as previously reported. Sung Kang, who starred in the Fast and Furious franchise, will also join the cast.

After Oder 66, Kang will be one of the Inquisitors dispatched to hunt down any remaining Jedi. He’ll portray Fifth Brother, a character that first appeared in Rebels. The site also revealed that the episode will include a young Leia (as well as a young Luke). Bird Box actress Vivien Lyra Blair will play the young Princess in the drama, according to the source.

In the recent interview Rotten Tomatoes, Kang said that

“The feeling that I get on set is every single crew member, you look in their eyes, and it’s like a kid going ‘I grew up watching Star Wars. Like, this is my dream to be here, to see one of the Star Wars characters, or the Darth Vader character or, you know, one of the Jedis walking around. No matter how old they are, it’s guys that do my makeup and stuff, and people who do the costumes, and all the set designers. There’s this feeling of legacy and it’s like everyone talks about history and why they feel so blessed to be here. there’s this history, there’s this kind of shared spirit and this passion of the connective tissue is all these Star Wars characters.”
