Back on June 22, Pratt told Variety what fans could expect from Mario’s voice in the animated film. he told, “I worked really closely with the directors and tried out a few things, and landed on something that I’m really proud of and can’t wait for people to see and hear,” Pratt added, “It’s an animated voiceover narrative. It’s not a live-action movie. I’m not going to be running around in a plumber’s suit. I’m providing a voice for an animated character, and it is updated and unlike anything you’ve heard in the Mario world before.”
Directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic from a screenplay written by Matthew Fogel. This movie is rated PG for action and mild violence.
Super Mario Bros. Movie will hit theaters in the United States on April 7, 2023, and in Japan on April 28. Check out the poster below.
