Emilia Jones (Locke & Key, Doctor Who) and Nicholas Braun (Succession, Zola) have been cast in Susanna Fogel’s ‘Cat Person.’ The thriller film explores “the hellscape of modern romance,” based on a short story published in The New Yorker in 2017.

The film received mixed reviews at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival. The film follows Margot (Emilia Jones), a 20-year-old, who has a connection with Robert (Nicholas Braun), an older guy who frequents the movie theater where she works. The rest of the storyline centers on modern dating, and things get complicated.

The film is directed by Susanna Fogel from a screenplay by Michelle Ashford. Cat Person also stars Geraldine Viswanathan, Hope Davis, Michael Gandolfini, Liza Koshy, Fred Melamed as Dr. Resnick, Isaac Cole Powell, Isabella Rossellini, Donald Elise Watkins, and Liza Colón-Zayas.
