After Taika addressed the three-way kiss they shared with actress Tessa Thompson, Rita Ora and her boyfriend Taika Waititi seemed completely relaxed as they enjoyed a date night Despite claims that he was reprimanded by Marvel bosses for his behavior, the Thor filmmaker, 45, maintained the hot smooch was ‘no big thing’ on Thursday.
Rita, 30, put on a giddy display with Taika, leaning towards him as they enjoyed drinks out in Los Angeles on Thursday night, seemingly unaffected by the scandal.
Taika, meanwhile, showed off his edgy style in an orange and black striped shirt, which he paired with black pants and white sneakers. A beige Gucci hat completes the look.
The duo dined al fresco at the restaurant and looked to have only one eye for one other as they sat amid other diners.
In May, Taika Waititi was photographed kissing his girlfriend Rita and actress Tessa on the balcony of his Sydney house.
Despite claims that Marvel executives ‘reprimanded’ him for his actions, the New Zealand filmmaker told ET Canada that it ‘wasn’t a huge issue.’
‘Not really,’ Waititi responded when asked if the media attention the photographs got bothered him. Everything, I believe, vanishes quickly in the Internet world.
‘As well as, “Is it really that big of a deal?” No, it’s not true. There was nothing wrong with me. It’s all right.’
Waititi made news around the world on May 23 when he shared a three-way kiss on the balcony of his Bondi house with Rita, whom he has been seeing for some months, and Tessa, one of the actresses of his upcoming film Thor: Love and Thunder.
The trio exchanged kisses after partying all night during a break from filming the next Marvel sequel, which is set to hit theatres in May 2022.
