The film follows John Bennett (Wahlberg), a Boston native whose boyhood desire comes true when his teddy bear buddy Ted comes to life. Ted, on the other hand, keeps John and his girlfriend Lori Collins (Kunis) from going on with their lives in maturity. It spawned a sequel and became the highest-grossing original R-rated comedy of all time (not a sequel or based on another IP). Ted and Ted 2 together grossed over $750 million worldwide.
