The Boys Season 3 Review: Season 3 of The Boys is more depraved than previous seasons. Prepare yourself Homelander is for sure one of the scariest super villains of all time.

Season 3 introduce Jensen Ackles‘ Soldier Boy, a Supe who fought in World War II. With eight episodes, the show continues Homelander’s madness and many superheroes in general–is corrupt with power, and The Boys want to stop him. Homelander goes, fascist rhetoric follows. Especially after it was revealed that he was dating a Nazi. The right-wing pipeline continues to have a presence. The Black Lives Matter movement is addressed and mainly serves as a subplot for A-Train to reflect on his narcissism. Much of the mirroring of our culture into The Boys exists as worldbuilding or parody.

The blood is there, you can witness brutal killing more than season 2. Homelander’s disturbing moments in the season 3 continues, in a scene where he’s psychologically torturing someone else. Homelander proved that he’s diabolical, and while it’s easy for him to kill someone with the flick of his wrist, it’s better for him in the long run to control others.
