The Fantastic Four’s Emily Blunt Emily Blunt has replied to reports of her being cast in the Fantastic Four. Blunt’s refusal to play Black Widow in Iron Man 2 is now well-known, and her name has been connected to the MCU ever since.The Fantastic Four made their big screen debut in 2005, with a less-than-serious take on Marvel’s First Family that led to a 2007 sequel, Rise of the Silver Surfer, before the franchise fizzled out. In 2015, Fox attempted to revive the Fantastic Four, but the film was a financial and critical failure.
Fantastic Four was purchased by Marvel Studios as part of Disney’s purchase of 20th Century Fox in 2019, and the Mouse House has been working to revive the floundering franchise since then. At San Diego Comic-Con in 2019,The Fantastic Four’s Emily Blunt Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige stated that a Fantastic Four film was in the works, and later it was revealed that Jon Watts, the director behind all three MCU Spider-Man films, would be directing it.Since then, the project has been quiet, but there has been no lack of fan castings.
