The first trailer for the Kingsman prequel “The King’s Man” trailer revealed. The prequel follows an organization’s ties to World War I and Ralph Fiennes being headbutted by a goat. The film was directed by Matthew Vaughn. watch the History The King’s Man trailer below.
The third installment of the Kingsman film franchise takes place in the 1910s when history’s darkest tyrants and criminal masterminds unite to organize a war that will wipe out millions of people. The Kingsman organization is formed in the film, led by the Duke of Oxford and his protégé, in an attempt to halt them in a race against time.
The star-studded cast includes Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Djimon Hounsou, Matthew Goode, Stanley Tucci, Daniel Brühl, and an unrecognizable Rhya Ifans as Rasputin. This is “World War 1 according to the Kingsmen,” with the trailer presenting the stylized action, foul-mouthed antics, and “shady characters” deep in the trenches of one of the darkest times of human history.
The franchise began in 2014 with Kingsman: The Secret Service, which was based on Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons’ comic book series The Secret Service. The picture was well-received by reviewers and audiences alike, and it helped actor Taron Egerton launch his career. The 2017 sequel Kingsman: The Golden Circle arguably failed to match the enchantment of the original, but new prequel attempts to re-energize the brand, which does not appear to be going anywhere anytime soon. Zygi Kamasa, the CEO of production firm Marv Group, stated in December that Vaughn was working on “something like seven additional Kingsman films.”
The King’s Man will hit the theaters on December 22.
