The Last of Us: Nico Parker Will Play Joel’s Daughter Sarah

We all knew it was going to happen, but it doesn’t make it any less painful. In The Last Of Us, HBO has found the right performer to play Joel’s daughter, Sarah Miller. Nico Parker (who appeared in the live-action Dumbo adaptation) will join Pedro Pascal’s Joel in the new series, according to reports. On the one hand, the casting is fantastic. I have no doubt that Parker and Pascal will work well together in the sequences they share. But what about the other hand? Most of you who are reading this have most likely played The Last of Us. We all know Sarah isn’t going to make it out alive, so expect her to break our hearts in the first episode before being consigned to flashbacks.

The Last of Us: Nico Parker Will Play

As per the source of Deadline, Nico Parker is the most recent addition to the cast of The Last Of Us, which is slated to begin filming this month in Calgary, Canada. Pascal, Bella Ramsey’s Ellie, and Gabriel Luna’s Tommy Miller are among the cast members. Merle Dandridge is scheduled to reprise her role as Joel’s companion in crime Marlene, which she initially performed in the original 2013 game, in a nice touch for fans everywhere. It’s also a good idea not to become too connected to her.

I’m sure I don’t have to tell you that Sarah’s death in The Last Of Us is one of the most heartbreaking video game scenes ever. It astounded me the first time I saw it, and I still get teary-eyed whenever I begin a new game. To be honest, I’m not looking forward to seeing that moment in real life.

The Last of Us: Nico Parker Will Play

HBO plans to release The Last Of Us in late 2021/early 2022 if all goes according to plan. We’ll have to wait a little longer, but if the show can equal the brilliance of the game, we’re in for a wonderful treat.
