Production has officially begun on Andy Muschietti and Ezra Miller’s The Flash
DC has been able to place its swift superhero at the forefront of two separate TV shows: a 1990 short-lived series and a 2014 ongoing series on The CW. Despite several attempts over the years to bring him to the big screen, this will be the first live-action film dedicated to him. Ryan Reynolds was once considered for the lead role in a David Goyer film.
Ezra Miller will play Barry Allen/The Flash, with Kiersey Clemons playing his love interest, Iris West, who we first saw in Zack Snyder’s Justice League; Sasha Calle will play Supergirl; Maribel Verd (Pan’s Labyrinth, Y Tu mamá también) and Ron Livingston (Office Space) will play Barry Allen’s parents; and Micheal Keaton and Ben Affleck will both reprise their roles as Bruce Wayne/Batman in the upcoming film.
