A new poster for The Matrix Resurrections revealed Neo and the team reunites.
The Matrix Resurrections will see Keanu Reeves reprise his role as Neo, who appears to have lost all memory of the events of the first trilogy. Niobe will be played by Jada Pinket-Smith, while Trinity will be played by Carrie-Anne Moss. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Christina Ricci, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and others will appear with them. On December 22, 2021, the film will be released in cinemas and concurrently on HBO Max (for the first month of release).

Despite the fact that The Matrix Resurrections releases first-look photos on a regular basis, as well as several revisions of its teaser and official trailer, the narrative remains mostly unknown. The poster doesn’t reveal anything about the narrative of the film that fans wouldn’t already know, but it does illustrate that the franchise’s famous artwork is still as stunning as ever. The characters’ slick and sophisticated style remains effective even 22 years after the original film’s premiere, and the one spot where the picture deviates from the established design is possibly its most fascinating.
Except for Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who will play an alternative version of Morpheus, the role originally portrayed by Laurence Fishburne, everyone in the Matrix Resurrections poster is dressed in Matrix black. Instead, he’s dressed in a vividly colored outfit that might be a reference to the many-colored drugs he gave Neo in the first film. Fishburne’s Morpheus wore black leather in the original trilogy as well, so this new look might hint at the nature of the new Morpheus.
