New The Batman posters have arrived, with fresh images of Robert Pattinson as Batman and Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, as well as a new tagline for the film. The next remake will follow Bruce Wayne in his second year as Batman, as he discovers a vast network of corruption in his hometown of Gotham City. As a serial murderer known as the Riddler terrorizes the metropolitan city, Harry finds his fight for justice becoming even more complex.
Along with Kravitz, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Gotham City Police Commissioner Jim Gordon, John Turturro as criminal Carmine Falcone, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot, better known as the Penguin, Pattinson leads The Batman’s ensemble cast. Matt Reeves, who co-wrote the script with Peter Craig and drew inspiration from the comic novels “Year One,” “The Long Halloween,” and “Ego” in order to properly explore the character’s investigative abilities, is behind the revival of the film franchise. The Batman is finally poised to enter theatres on March 4, 2022, after repeated production and release delays owing to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.
Given the character’s predilection for philosophical monologues about his job in the night and embracing the night, the new slogan for The Batman is sure to resonate with fans of the eponymous hero. When Tom Hardy’s Bane criticized Christian Bale’s incarnation for adopting the shadows when he was born in it and shaped by it in The Dark Knight Rises, the slogan was turned against him. The key art itself is also in keeping with The Batman’s promotion thus far, using the same red and black color scheme as previous posters and promos for the film.
