‘The Nun 2’ Will Be Directed by Michael Chaves

'The Nun 2' Is Now Early Stage of Development at Warner Bros.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It director Michael Chaves is set to direct ‘The Nun 2‘. Chaves directed several short films including The Maiden, which won the Best Super Short Horror Film Award at Shriekfest 2016. he then directed The Curse of La Llorona and The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, both produced by James Wan.

The Nun 2 will be Chaves’ second film from The Conjuring Universe, The script will be written by Akela Cooper. James Wan and Peter Safran co-producing the project. The Nun follows when a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate. Together, they uncover the order’s unholy secret. Risking not only their lives but their faith and their very souls, they confront a malevolent force in the form of a demonic nun.

The Nun grossed $365 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing film of the series. Bonnie Aarons will return as Valak in the Nun 2.
