‘The Old Guard 2’ Has Wrapped Production

The Old Guard 2’ cast and crew confirmed that the production has wrapped. During Netflix’s TUDUM event. A new special video from the cast has been revealed. The sequel director Victoria Mahoney told in a statement “Genuinely blown backward by the level of collective talent, skill, and savvy that went into carving The Old Guard.” Mahoney added, “I must’ve washed it over a hundred times, and as such, cannot communicate the true measure of my excitement — being invited on The Old Guard journey, alongside ferocious badasses.”

‘The Old Guard 2’ Has Wrapped Production

The Old Guard‘ is based on an adaptation of a comic book written by Greg Rucka and Leandro Fernández. The film stars Charlize Theron, KiKi Layne, Matthias Schoenaerts, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, Harry Melling, Veronica Ngo, and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

The plot follows, A group of mercenaries, all centuries-old immortals with the ability to heal themselves, who discover someone is onto their secret, and they must fight to protect their freedom.

In The Old Guard, Andy (Charlize Theron), a covert group of tight-knit mercenaries with a mysterious inability to die has fought to protect the mortal world for centuries. But when the team is recruited to take on an emergency mission and their extraordinary abilities are suddenly exposed, it’s up to Andy and Nile (KiKi Layne), the newest soldier to join their ranks, to help the group eliminate the threat of those who seek to replicate and monetize their power by any means necessary.

The Old Guard 2’ release date is not yet announced.
