But I will remind them.” Netflix released the first trailer for the live-action adaptation of The Sandman, which is set to premiere on August 5 on Netflix. The trailer was launched at Netflix’s Geeked Week. The series is series based on the 1989–1996 comic book written by Neil Gaiman and published by DC Comics. The Sandman revealed the story of Dream, the titular Sandman. watch the trailer below.

In 1916, Morpheus, the king of dreams and one of the seven Endless, is captured in an occult ritual. After being held captive for 105 years, he escapes and sets out to restore order to his kingdom of the Dreaming.

The series stars Tom Sturridge as Dream, with Gwendoline Christie, Vivienne Acheampong, Boyd Holbrook, Charles Dance, Asim Chaudhry, and Sanjeev Bhaskar in supporting roles.

The Sandman was developed by Gaiman, David S. Goyer, and Allan Heinberg. Goyer and Gaiman were set to produce alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The series is scheduled to debut on Netflix on August 5, 2022.
