The Simpsons Season 34 is set to air from September 25, 2022, to Spring 2023. According to The Simpsons showrunner Matt Selman, Season 34 will include an episode about how they have managed to predict multiple future real-life events.
Speaking to Deadline, Selman revealed that there will be a few of this season’s guest stars, namely Simu Liu and Melissa McCarthy, before offering a few tidbits about the forthcoming episodes, including one “crazy conceptual episode that explains how The Simpsons know the future.”
Selman told, “It’s a conceptual episode with lots of crazy stuff in it, but it does an explanation of how The Simpsons can predict the future.”
The show’s prescience has been a long-running and long-noticed occurrence. After three decades of being on the air, The Simpsons has earned a reputation for its track record of predicting the future. Surprisingly, the show has managed to more often than not hit the nail on the head–even on things that seemed incredibly far-fetched.
The Simpsons is created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The Simpsons take place in the fictional American town of Springfield in an unknown and impossible-to-determine U.S. state. The series is a satirical depiction of American life, epitomized by the Simpson family, which consists of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. The show is set in the fictional town of Springfield and parodies American culture and society, television, and the human condition.
