Thor: Love and Thunder have been rated PG-13 due to “intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action, language, some suggestive material, and partial nudity.” The runtime for the fourth sequel of Thor is reportedly 1 hour 59 minutes. It’s the shortest Marvel Studios movie since 2018.
At the end of Thor: Love and Thunder trailer, Chris Hemsworth after Russell Crowe’s Zeus flicked his fingers and suddenly thor’s dress got completely removed, and Hemsworth’s muscular and topless body was revealed. But unlucky that scene was blurred. this could be the main reason for PG-13.
According to MPAA, the rating for director Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder has been revealed. The Chris Hemsworth-led sequel has been officially rated PG-13 due to “intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action, language, some suggestive material, and partial nudity.” (Via Screen Connections)
In Thor: Ragnarok, a similar scenario happened Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk was nude on-screen, unfortunately, the film’s rating didn’t include partial nudity at all in its summary.
Thor: Love and Thunder synopsis follows, “Thor on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced — a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher, who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie, Korg, and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who — to Thor’s surprise — inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjølnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.”
The film is written and directed by Taika Waititi and stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher, Tessa Thompson as Brunnhilde/King Valkyrie, Jaimie Alexander as Sif, Taika Waititi as Korg, with Russell Crowe as Zeus, and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster/Mighty Thor.
Thor: Love and Thunder will hit theaters on July 8, 2022.
