“The intellectual drama tells the story of world-renowned musician Lydia Tár (Blanchett), who is just days away from recording the symphony that will take her to the very heights of her already formidable career. Lydia Tár’s remarkably bright and charming six-year-old adopted daughter Petra has a key role to play here. And when elements seem to conspire against Lydia, the young girl is an important emotional support for her struggling mother.”

Directed by Todd Field, he also produce the pic with Scott Lambert and Alexandra Milchan. Focus Features will be distributing the film in the United States and Universal Pictures will handle it International.

When Will Tár Release In Theaters?

Tár will premiere at the 79th Venice International Film Festival on September 1, 2022. The film will hit theaters on October 7, 2022.

According to Variety, Don’t Worry Darling (Olivia Wilde), Blonde (Andrew Dominik), Bones & All (Luca Guadagnino), Bardo (Alejandro G. Iñarritu), and the Argentine 1985 (Santiago Miter) will premiere at the Venice Film Festival 2022.
