At UFC 268 in November, Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington will renew their blood feud. Dana White, the president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), informed Brett Okamoto of ESPN, the promotion’s official broadcast partner, of the news. Although no precise date or location has been set, White has stated that the event will take place in New York. UFC appears to be eyeing November 6, 2021, date at Madison Square Garden, according to MMA Junkie.
Since his second professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fight in May 2013, Usman (19-1) has gone undefeated. His record in the UFC Welterweight division includes victories over Jorge Masvidal (twice), Gilbert Burns, Covington, and Tyron Woodley. On April 24, he knocked out Masvidal in the second round of their fight at UFC 261 (watch here). Covington (19-2) has won four of his last five fights, with his lone setback coming in a close fight against Usman (see here) at UFC 245 in December 2019. On Sept. 19, 2020, “Chaos” defeated Woodley through fifth-round TKO (injury). Robbie Lawler, dos Anjos, and Demian Maia are among his targets.
