Venom: Let There Be Carnage Drops The long-awaited “Venom” sequel trailer has arrived, along with the latest villain Carnage. Viewers get a first look at the red symbiote character from the comic books, who was only briefly introduced at the end of the first “Venom” film, which came out in 2018. In the trailer, a crazed serial killer named Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson) survives a lethal injection in jail, which appears to awaken the symbiote inside him and turn him into Carnage. In a big symbiote showdown, he and Tom Hardy, whose character Eddie Brock has made peace with his alter-ego Venom, fight it out.
Michelle Williams plays Anne Weying, Reid Scott plays Dan Lewis, and Naomie Harris plays the symbiote Shriek in “Venom: Let There Be Carnage.”Kelly Marcel wrote the screenplay based on a story by Marcel and Hardy. Marcel, Hardy, Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker are the producers. Executive producers include Barry Waldman, Jonathan Cavendish, Ruben Fleischer, Edward Cheng, and Howard Chen. The film’s music is being composed by Marco Beltrami.
“Venom: Let There Be Carnage” is set to release on Sept. 24, 2021.
