Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now open in theaters. Wanda Maximoff / the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) Illuminati base scenes were shot as R-rated versions. When coming into Marvel Studios they turned the R-rated scenes into PG-13.
In Multiverse of Madness, Hayley Atwell plays the role of Captain Carter (The First Avenger). She had a lot of screen space in the film, including a battle with Doctor Strange. The complete scenes are deleted. Speaking to Collider, director Raimi told that the first cut of the film is around 2 hours 40 minutes. “It was probably like two hours and 40 minutes, and it slowly came down even though we did the reshoots. We took out material even though the reshoots went in. So, it slowly got down to about two hours and five minutes is the total.”
Raimi followed his horror roots in Doctor Strange 2, some scenes contain disturbing content, and horror techniques worked well. Wanda made Black Bolt unalive himself by removing his mouth, so his whisper literally backfired inside him.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness plot follows,
To restore a world where everything is changing, Strange seeks help from his ally Wong, the Sorcerer Supreme, and the Avengers’ most powerful Scarlet Witch, Wanda. Even more surprising, the greatest threat in the universe looks exactly like Doctor Strange.
