Wolves Of War, a WWII action-thriller starring Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl), singer-actor Matt Willis (Allies), and Rupert Graves (Sherlock), is now filming in the United Kingdom.

Willis, a member of the Busted band, will portray British commanders leading a squad of allied commandos on a mission in Bavaria at the end of WWII to rescue an American (Graves) taken captive by the Nazis.

Blue Fox Entertainment will handle worldwide sales and distribution (with the exception of the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Australia and New Zealand, where Signature Entertainment has the rights), as well as North American distribution. At the next virtual Cannes fair, Blue Fox will present the project to buyers.

Giles Alderson (Arthur & Merlin: Knights of Camelot) will helm the film, which will be produced by Picture Perfect’s Lucinda Rhodes Thakrar and Jeet Thakrar, who just finished the Stephen Moyer-Colm Meaney thriller Confession, another co-production with Signature.

Signature Elizabeth Williams and Katie Wilkinson serve as executive producers.

“Signature has worked with Blue Fox for years, acquiring titles from them to distribute in the UK & Ireland as well as internationally and to expand our working relationship with James, Lisa, and Michael in this way is a real pleasure,” said Williams, Signature’s Director of Acquisitions & Development. We are all ecstatic that Ed Westwick, Matt Willis, and Rupert Graves have joined this really exciting project, and we look forward to its international success.”

“The demand for viewers throughout the world to relive World War II exploits never seems to fade,” Blue Fox’s James Huntsman said. We’re ecstatic to be working with Signature Entertainment on this thrilling mission in Bavaria based on a true story.”
