Yorgos Lanthimos ‘Poor Things’ Described as a re-imagining of Frankenstein in which the monster has been replaced with a beautiful, volatile erotomaniac named Bella Baxter (Emma Stone).

Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe with Element Pictures create “Poor Things.” After producing all of Lanthimos’ English-language films (“The Lobster,” “The Killing of a Sacred Deer,” and “The Favourite”), as well as “Room” and Hulu’s “Normal People,” the Irish/UK film firm created the concept alongside Film4. Yorgos Lanthimos ‘Poor Things’ director, writer, actor, and comedian Carmichael is best known for his stand-up specials and the namesake series “The Carmichael Show.” Along with Youssef, the multi-hyphenate performer executive produces the Emmy-nominated comedy “Ramy.” Lanthimos directed and produced the film, while Tony McNamara, the Oscar-nominated co-screenwriter of “The Favourite” (as well as Hulu’s “The Great”), wrote the script.
