A new trailer for “You People,” starring Jonah Hill and Eddie Murphy, has been released on Netflix. The film follows a young couple and their families as they struggle with modern love in the face of cultural disputes, societal expectations, and generational differences. Watch the trailer below.
The film is directed by Kenya Barris, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jonah Hill. The film also stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Lauren London, Sam Jay, Molly Gordon, Mike Epps, Nia Long, Deon Cole, Rhea Perlman, and David Duchovny.
In an interview with Netflix, Lauren London told “My favorite location was Simply Wholesome,” she says. “Growing up in LA, I used to walk to Simply Wholesome and grab a patty or a smoothie. Being inside a Black establishment that promotes wellness and health in the heart of our community, and that business is highlighted and shown in a big-budget film, that was very special.”
“You People” will premiere on Netflix on January 27, 2023.
