M.L. Rio’s Novel ‘If We Were Villains’ Is Adapted into a TV series by ‘Sex Education’ Producer Eleven

M.L. Rio’s novel ‘If We Were Villains‘ is being adapted into a TV series by ‘Sex Education‘ Producer Eleven. The book is a suspenseful thriller set in an exclusive arts conservatory, following seven young Shakespearean actors at an elite college.

According to Deadline, The series is produced by Canada-headquartered Blink49 and the UK’s Eleven. Also, Executive Produced by Jamie Campbell and Jennifer Pick the co-executive producer for Eleven. Carolyn Newman and Virginia Rankin of Blink49 Studios are also exec producers, along with Rio, Tony-nominated producer Christopher Maring of CM Stage Productions, Andrew Williamson, Henrik Meyer, and Enuka Okuma.

M.L. Rio’s novel ‘If We Were Villains’ has sold 180,000 copies in English the novel has published in 2017 and is available in 14 languages.
