Wanda Maximoff Will Appear as Earth-1602’s Wanda Merlin in ‘What If…?’ Season 2, Episodes 5 and 8

Wanda Maximoff is officially named 1602 Wanda Merlin in ‘What If…?‘ Season 2. She is set to appear in Episode 5: ‘What If… Captain Carter Fought the Hydra Stomper‘ and Episode 8: ‘What If… The Avengers Assembled in 1602?’ as confirmed by Disney Press.

According to ‘The MCU: An Official Timeline,’ a recent revelation has brought to light that Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, met her end on Earth-616 as she played a part in the destruction of Wundagore, an event occurring in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness‘.

It has been revealed that The Winter Soldier and Red Guardian will be featured in an episode of “What If…?” Season 2. Wanda Merlin, who will be voiced by Elizabeth Olsen, will appear in the series. The Watcher, Captain Carter, Steve Rogers/HYDRA Stomper, Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Melina Vostokoff, Gamora, Tony Stark/Iron Man, En Dwi Gast/Grandmaster, Korg, Bruce Banner/Hulk, Stephen Strange/Doctor Strange, Thanos, Ego, Yondu Udonta, Thor, Hawkeye, Hope van Dyne/Wasp, Hank Pym, and Hela will also appear in Season 2.

What If…? is based on the Multiverse Saga, in which the heroes appear from various universes. The first season ended with episode 9, “What If… The Watcher Broke His Oath?” The Watcher formed the “Guardians of the Multiverse” heroes, featuring Captain Carter, Star-Lord T’Challa, Strange Supreme, Killmonger, Party Thor, and Black Widow. The team battles the Age of Ultron to save the multiverse. The show was created by A. C. Bradley for Disney+.

‘What If…?’ Season 2 premieres on Disney+ on December 22, 2023, with daily episodes until December 30.
