Sweeney and Jonathan Davino will produce for Fifty-Fifty Films, along with executive producer David Bernad of “The White Lotus,” who created the project with Sweeney. In the film, Sweeney plays Cecilia, a devoted Catholic woman who is offered a fulfilling new role at an illustrious Italian convent. Cecilia’s warm welcome to the picture-perfect Italian countryside is cut short as it becomes clear that her new home harbors dark and horrifying secrets.
Teddy Schwarzman and Michael Heimler produce “Immaculate” for Black Bear. Will Greenfield and John Friedberg of Black Bear will executive produce with Christopher Casanova and Christopher Casanova of Black Bear. Black Bear International will handle international sales and introduce the film to the market at American Film Market, alongside CAA and Paradigm.
Sweeney was nominated for two Emmys this year for her performance in the HBO shows “The White Lotus” and “Euphoria.” She will soon be seen in Sony’s “Madame Web,” co-starring Dakota Johnson.
