Aaron Taylor-Johnson has met with producers for the role of James Bond. According to Puck, Taylor-Johnson is considered to play the next James Bond; he met producer Barbara Broccoli, and the meeting worked well.
Following Daniel Craig‘s retirement as MI6 agent 007, producers are looking for a new actor to assume the Bond character. Variety reports that James Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson are currently searching for a new Bond. “When we cast Bond, it’s a 10-, 12-year commitment. Not everybody wants to do that. It was hard enough getting [Daniel Craig to do it]. And he was in his early 30s at the time!”
Idris Elba was also considered for the role. “He’s great,” says Wilson, and Broccoli quickly told, “We love Idris.”
Aaron Taylor-Johnson will next appear in Sony’s Kraven the Hunter, based on Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU). Taylor-Johnson plays the role of Sergei Kravinoff / Kraven: A big-game hunter. The film is scheduled to be released in the United States on October 6, 2023. He also returned to Bullet Train director David Leitch’s cast for The Fall Guy.
