Marvel has released the first trailer for ‘Marvel Rivals,’ a free-to-play 6v6 team-based PVP hero shooter. The game’s beta test launches in May 2024. You can watch the trailer below.
What is the ‘Marvel Rivals’ Game About?
According to the ‘Marvel Rivals’ plot:
“The merciless clash between the tyrannical dictator Doctor Doom and his future counterpart from the year 2099 has forced countless universes to collide in the Timestream Entanglement, creating new worlds and crises still unknown. Now, superheroes and supervillains from across the multiverse must fight together and against one another as disparate groups seek to defeat both Dooms before one achieves domination of these realities.”
As reported earlier, NetEase and Marvel have developed the Overwatch-style game ‘Marvel Rivals.’ The roster of heroes includes Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, Iron Man, Luna Snow, The Punisher, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Loki, Spider-Man, Hulk, Magik, Magneto, Mantis, Storm, Peni Parker, Black Panther, Star-Lord, Namor, and Thor. The closed alpha is set to release in May on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Take a look at the new features of Marvel Rivals, including maps set in 2099 Tokyo and Asgard. The game will also introduce team-up abilities between characters, such as Iron Man and Hulk’s teamwork abilities shown below.

- Each new season will unveil more of the story, along with new maps and content, similar to Fortnite.
According to reports, Yuri Lowenthal will voice Peter Parker/Spider-Man in ‘Marvel Rivals’.
