‘The First Omen’ will be available to buy or rent on digital HD platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play Movies & TV on May 28, 2024.
The film will be available on Hulu starting May 30, 2024.
Directed by Arkasha Stevenson, who co-wrote the screenplay with Tim Smith and Keith Thomas from a story by Ben Jacoby, it is a prequel to The Omen (1976) and the sixth film in The Omen franchise.
When a young American woman is sent to Rome to begin a life of service to the church, she encounters a darkness that causes her to question her own faith and uncovers a terrifying conspiracy that hopes to bring about the birth of evil incarnate.
The film stars Nell Tiger Free as Margaret, Ralph Ineson as Father Brennan, Sônia Braga as Sister Silva, Tawfeek Barhom as Father Gabriel, Bill Nighy as Cardinal Lawrence, Maria Caballero as Luz, Charles Dance as Father Harris, Nicole Sorace as Carlita Scianna, Ishtar Currie-Wilson as Sister Anjelica, Andrea Arcangeli as Paolo, Rachel Hurd-Wood as Katherine Thorn, and Eva Ras. ‘The First Omen’ was released by 20th Century Studios in the United States on April 5, 2024, and has grossed $52.7 million worldwide.
