Netflix has revealed the first look at Kristen Bell and Adam Brody in ‘Nobody Wants This,’ a 10-episode rom-com created by Erin Foster, following two characters as they navigate the perils and joys of modern dating.
What is ‘Nobody Wants This’ about?
In the show, Golden Globe nominee Bell and SAG nominee Brody star as Joanne and Noah, an unexpected duo. She’s an outspoken, agnostic woman, and he’s an unconventional rabbi. ‘Nobody Wants This’ charts their unlikely relationship.
The show also stars Justine Lupe as Morgan, Timothy Simons as Sasha, Jackie Tohn as Esther, Michael Hitchcock as Henry, Paul Ben-Victor as Ilan, Sherry Cola as Ashley, Shiloh Bearman as Miriam, Stephanie Faracy as Lynn, Tovah Feldshuh as Bina, and Emily Arlook as Rebecca.
Foster and Craig DiGregorio are executive producers and co-showrunners. Other executive producers include Steven Levitan, Bell, Sara Foster, Danielle Stokdyk, Jeff Morton, and Jack Burditt. Oly Obst serves as executive producer for 3arts.
In a statement to Tudum, Foster said, “This show is based on the only good decision I ever made: falling for a nice Jewish boy.” Foster added, “But I realized that being happy is way harder than being miserable (there’s nothing to complain about). So, I created this show based on all the ways that finding the right person can be so hard. Nobody Wants This, but we do, and that’s all that matters.”
