Sony/Marvel’s ‘Venom: The Last Dance‘ will reveal the biggest mystery: why Venom was sent to Earth. In the film, Knull, known as the Symbiote God, will send a Symbiote army after Venom because he needs Venom to execute a secret master plan.
Who is Knull in Marvel Comics?
Knull is a very powerful ancient entity associated with the symbiotes in Marvel Comics. Coming to the strange truth, he had existed even before the universe began, also wields the All-Black Symbiote, the first symbiote ever created, and controls other symbiotes.
So, Knull’s plan is not to take Earth as his home. Something big is going to happen. Venom already said that he was sent for a purpose and chose to stay on Earth with Eddie Brock. In the first trailer of ‘The Last Dance’, we saw that more symbiotes are coming to Earth. This may be Knull’s army.
Knull’s Fan Theory in ‘Venom: The Last Dance’
According to a fan theory, Knull is trapped on the planet Klyntar, which means “Cage.” He is looking for a way to escape and realizes that one of his symbiotes has traveled to a different universe where Venom has also gone (to the MCU). This event could trigger the hive mind and alert Knull, which might explain why he is sending an army to Earth: to capture Venom and use him to escape Klyntar, and potentially to conquer not only this universe but others as well.
According to the film’s official plot synopsis, “In Venom: The Last Dance, Tom Hardy returns as Venom, one of Marvel’s greatest and most complex characters, for the final film in the trilogy. Eddie and Venom are on the run. Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie’s last dance.”
Kelly Marcel, who directed the first film will return to direct from a screenplay she co-wrote with Hardy. It is a sequel to Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The film stars Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom, Juno Temple, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach, and Stephen Graham.
‘Venom: The Last Dance’ hits theaters on October 25, 2024, by Sony Pictures Releasing.
