It seems Sony has no plans to make more Spider-Man spin-off movies. Their upcoming film, Kraven the Hunter, starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, reportedly has no post-credit scenes.
Will Kraven the Hunter Have Mid-Credits or Post-Credits Scenes?
According to a trustworthy insider, @Cryptic4KQual on X, Kraven the Hunter will not contain any mid-credits or post-credits scenes and will also not include any mention of Spider-Man during the film.
Sony’s Spider-Man Universe spin-off films are usually global disasters, apart from the Venom movies. The last Venom movie, Venom: The Last Dance, was marketed as the final Venom film, which grossed $450 million worldwide.
Kraven the Hunter director J.C. Chandor recently said that the movie will rebuild the SSU. He asked fans to give the movie a chance.
Chandor said, “I don’t want to get too into the nitty-gritty of it, but here’s what I would say: for me as a filmmaker, my number one goal—especially, quite frankly, over the last couple of years where you guys are deep in this world—is to move forward. Some of the fans out there—a lot of the fans—were upset with certain decisions and certain outcomes [of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe].” Chandor added, “Then with other films, they’ve gone on to be tremendous successes. So there’s been—there’s been a mixed success rate. People have got to give us a chance and come out and support this film—and literally try to wash away some of the other stuff that’s happened. Give our film a chance.”
What is the Plot of Kraven the Hunter?
In Kraven the Hunter, Kraven (Taylor-Johnson) is recruited by Calypso (Ariana DeBose) to stop a corrupt magnate named Gregory Herd (Alessandro Nivola) from doing something bad called the Gathering of the Five. Later, Kraven finds out that the Chameleon is his brother, and their father, Nikolai Kravinoff (Russell Crowe), is the real villain and Herd’s boss. Calypso also works for Nikolai and tricks Kraven so that Nikolai can sacrifice him. But then Calypso falls in love with Kraven and helps him fight Nikolai.
Produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, and David Householter, with production companies including Columbia Pictures, Marvel Entertainment, TSG Entertainment, and Arad Productions.
