Charlie Cox is reportedly set to make his return as Matt Murdock/Daredevil in the upcoming Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man 4.
Following his appearance in Daredevil: Born Again, which is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on March 4, 2025, Cox’s Daredevil will appear in Spider-Man 4, which is confirmed to follow up on the events of the show.
Zendaya’s Appearance in Spider-Man 4 Cut Down Due to Conflicting Schedule
According to industry insider scooper Jeff Sneider’s The InSneider Report, Zendaya will reportedly have a “severely reduced” role in Spider-Man 4. This is due to scheduling conflicts with multiple films she has signed on for. Her role in the movie is now described as “minor.”
In a recent episode of the Rich Roll Podcast, Holland shared his thoughts on reading the latest draft of Spider-Man 4. He revealed that about three weeks ago, he read the final draft with his co-star Zendaya, and believes it to be “worthy of fan respect.”
Holland said, “We have a creative pitch and a draft, which is excellent. It needs work, but the writers are doing a great job.” Holland added, “I read it 3 weeks ago, and it really lit a fire in me. Zendaya and I read it together, and at times we were bouncing around the living room, like, ‘This is a real movie worthy of fans’ respect.'”
It is also reported that symbiotes will appear in Spider-Man 4. Maxblizz recently updated with an official press release from Sony Pictures Japan, teasing that Tom Hardy’s Venom will appear in Spider-Man 4. Additionally, Venom: The Last Dance teased that Knull, the symbiote god, will return in the film.
