A new sneak peek from James Gunn‘s Superman was released during CinemaCon 2025. It shows Krypto attempting to play with a wounded Superman (David Corenswet), before taking him to the Fortress of Solitude for help. There, Superman’s automatons—robots designed to aid in his recovery—use sunlight to restore his strength and heal his injuries.
In a recent interview with Fandango, Corenswet revealed that Superman loves Krypto — but described him as “the worst dog in the world with superpowers,” adding that Krypto’s appearance in Superman is “sort of a foster situation.”
According to Corenswet, Superman is trying his best to look after Krypto — even though the superpowered dog keeps wrecking the Fortress of Solitude and chasing animals — proving that even Superman has a hard time being a pet owner.

Corenswet said, “Superman is taking care of this dog… but Krypto is like the worst dog in the world with superpowers, so he’s always destroying the Fortress and hunting wildlife.”
The film stars Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt/Mr. Terrific, María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho.
