When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. A year later, their past comes back to haunt them, and they’re forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer… and is hell-bent on revenge. As the friends are stalked one by one by a killer, they discover this has happened before — and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help.

Directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson from a screenplay co-written with Sam Lansky, based on a story by Leah McKendrick and Robinson. It is the fourth installment in the I Know What You Did Last Summer franchise and a sequel to I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998).

Madelyn Cline stars as Danica Richards, with Chase Sui Wonders as Ava Brucks, Jonah Hauer-King as Milo Griffin, Tyriq Withers as Teddy Spencer, Sarah Pidgeon as Stevie Ward, Billy Campbell as Grant Spencer, Gabbriette Bechtel as Tyler Trevino, Austin Nichols as Pastor Judah Gillespie, Joshua Orpin as Wyatt, Freddie Prinze Jr. as Ray Bronson—a bar owner, Julie’s ex-husband, and a survivor of the 1997 Southport Massacre—and Jennifer Love Hewitt as Julie James, a university professor, Ray’s ex-wife, and also a survivor of the 1997 Southport Massacre.

I Know What You Did Last Summer was theatrically released in the United States on July 18, 2025, by Sony Pictures Releasing.
