The filming for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day is underway in Glasgow, Scotland.
Following the start of production, a nine-second first-look teaser of Tom Holland‘s new Spider-Man costume was released by Marvel and Sony on “Spider-Man Day.”
According to Daniel Richtman, Spider-Man: Brand New Day will reportedly be a “much darker” film than Holland’s previous trilogy. Plot details are being kept under wraps, but in true Marvel fashion, “Spider-Man, Punisher, and Hulk will all fight one another before discovering who the real villains are.”

According to Spider-Man: Brand New Day Updates, Day 1 of production includes the following key details:
- Spider-Man, Hulk, and the Punisher will all fight each other.
- Scorpion will appear in the movie.
- Kingpin will be at least hinted at or teased.
- Spider-Man’s new suit features raised webbing.
- Mister Negative and/or the Inner Demons will appear.
- More villains are yet to be revealed.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, the film will be a “multiversal grounded” story featuring multiple villains, including Tarantula, Scorpion, Boomerang, Tombstone, and more.

Recently, Brett Pawlak, the Director of Photography for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, shared a mood board he created for the project. It features Spider-Man alongside Savage Hulk.

In a recent interview with Collider, Marvel President Kevin Feige revealed that Peter Parker will be dealing with “street-level crime” in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Feige said, “I think there’s a promise at the end of No Way Home — that, for as sad as it is that Peter is forgotten by everyone in his life, we are seeing, for the first time in the Tom Holland Spider-Man stories, him being a proper Spider-Man. Him being by himself, dedicated to saving the city, and dealing with — for lack of a better term — street-level crime, as opposed to world-ending events.”
The film stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon also reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sadie Sink joins the cast as Gwen Stacy, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. the Punisher), and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas has been cast in an undisclosed role, and Michael Mando is reprising his Spider-Man: Homecoming role as Mac Gargan.
The film is produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will hit theaters and IMAX on July 31, 2026.
