Character Descriptions in DC’s Mister Miracle Animated Series
Darkseid

Described as the physical manifestation of all evil in the universe. He speaks in a silly, over-the-top manner, which is balanced by his calm yet confident demeanor.
In the Mister Miracle comic book story that inspired the new series, Darkseid obtains the terrifying Anti-Life Equation, sparking a war against the forces of New Genesis. This forces Mister Miracle to return home, hoping to restore peace between the two warring worlds.
Funky Flashman

Serves as a narrator in certain scenes, with his heavy Stan Lee inspiration very clear in this adaptation. Known as a “snake oil salesman,” he is highly articulate and skilled at persuasion, always knowing how to sell a product.
Lightray

Raised alongside Orion, Lightray is deeply loyal to both Highfather and Orion. He considers himself superior to Scott and Barda, often viewing the missions given to him by Highfather as beneath him.
Highfather

The all-knowing leader of New Genesis. Despite his power and status, he struggles to connect with the other New Gods, particularly Scott, who has resented him since childhood for giving him up to Darkseid.
Orion

The son of Darkseid, burdened with his father’s anger, sins, and ambition. Raised by Highfather, Orion has long repressed these darker traits. In the series, he will act as a mentor to Scott.
