The filming for Will Gluck‘s upcoming rom-com One Night Only has begun in New York City.
Recently, Callum Turner, Monica Barbaro, and Pete Davidson were spotted on the set of One Night Only while filming in NYC. The film follows two strangers who scramble to find someone to sleep with on the one night of the year when premarital sex is legal.
Following the massive success of the Sydney Sweeney–Glen Powell rom-com Anyone but You, Gluck is returning with a new romantic comedy. One Night Only is based on Travis Braun’s Black List script, with a rewrite by Gluck himself.
The story for One Night Only comes from Travis Braun’s script, which was one of the top unproduced screenplays on the 2024 Black List. It takes place in a world where premarital sex is banned, except for one night each year. On that night, two strangers race to find someone to sleep with. Universal bought the project, and Gluck later joined to rewrite the script and direct. It’s unclear if he changed the story much from the original.

The film is produced by Gluck through Olive Bridge Entertainment, alongside Jacqueline Monetta, VP of Olive Bridge. At Universal Pictures, Senior EVP of Production Development Erik Baiers and Director of Production Development Jacqueline Garell will oversee the project.
One Night Only is scheduled to hit theaters on August 7, 2026, by Universal Pictures.
