Warning: This article contains spoilers for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
An unofficial trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day was leaked online back in December last year, and now another leak has surfaced: an alternate cut of the footage, with details leaked online. It includes many of the same scenes.
On YouTube, 3C Films has shared details about the alternate cut of the leaked Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer, which reveals that Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man gains organic webbing. The details are below.
The trailer opens with Punisher (Jon Bernthal) and Spider-Man (Holland). Michael Mando’s Scorpion suit is revealed; it is a mixture of the suit from Marvel’s Spider-Man game and his classic comic suit.
Spider-Man fights the Hand, with the fight style similar to Shang-Chi.

Tombstone explains the three life cycles of a spider. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is reportedly set to gain organic webbing. Peter Parker becomes trapped in a cocoon before emerging with natural, organic web-shooters. Holland reportedly looks “absolutely ripped” in the scene.
Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) and Peter Parker talk about “gene mutation.” Peter and MJ are at a party, and MJ is about to kiss another guy, causing Peter to quickly look away. Peter is also shown “stalking” MJ and Ned.
There is an apartment hallway scene where Peter and MJ talk, and MJ says, “Just your friendly neighbor.”
Peter replies, “Oh, I’m your neighbor.”
MJ responds again, “Just your friendly neighbor.”
In a recent interview with Variety, Sony Pictures CEO Tom Rothman said that Spider-Man: Brand New Day is going to be “one of the most surprising and terrific movies.”
When Rothman was asked whether Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be Tom Holland’s final Spider-Man film, he replied:
“Next time Tom is in the line, ask him.”
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. It stars Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds, and Tony Revolori as Eugene “Flash” Thompson.
Sadie Sink joins the cast alongside Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. The Punisher) and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman have also been cast in undisclosed roles, while Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan from Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Marvin Jones III has been confirmed to play Tombstone. Additionally, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will appear in the movie.
Here’s the new synopsis for Spider-Man: Brand New Day:
After the world has forgotten his name, Peter Parker (Holland) begins a new chapter in his life — balancing college classes, part-time work, and his responsibility as New York’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. But when a mysterious force begins to unravel the city from the inside out, Peter finds himself caught between powerful enemies, old legacies, and unexpected allies. As shadows from the past creep into his present, he must redefine what it truly means to be a hero — on his own.
The film is produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters and IMAX on July 31, 2026.
